Bivo at Bruno Golin Trophy
This weekend was the very first edition of the “Bruno Golin Trophy”, a truly unique event, in memory of an absolute pioneer of mountain running, remembered with emotion by the many friends present. The event was conceived and organized by Vitor Pereira of the Malga Foraoro (on the left in the photo) to which we congratulate.
Many are the original aspects of the race, run on a ring of 12 kilometers, the so-called “Hinge”, and surrounded by a breathtaking view of the valley below. The route touched the various pastures arranged in the mountains above Caltrano (Vicenza). A road trip, but very rich in ups and downs. An event that included three alternative possibilities: the 6-hour race, the 12-hour race, the 24-hour race. Objective of each tender? Make as many laps as possible in the time available.
To follow the company, the organization has set up two refreshment points, and at Bivo’s departure we were happy to be able to support the athletes who needed energy and rehydration at the end of each lap, and who were able to test in the field the efficiency, digestibility and functionality of Bivo, fundamental characteristics above all in such a demanding context.
Little curiosity. One of the founders of Bivo had the pleasure of running along the route, really beautiful. Two laps completed, to then rest in the sun near the gazebo, with already bad legs 😉 … The winner did 15 laps in 24 hours (180 kilometers!) Instead.
